E-Consent

Electronic Communications Delivery Policy (E-SIGN Policy)

In your interactions with us, you have the option to receive certain information in printed form. However, by using our services, you agree to receive this information electronically. Since our operations are conducted online, you must consent to receive all essential communications from us and our providers electronically, either through our website or via email, rather than in paper format by mail.

This section details the technical requirements necessary to view, save, or print the communications we provide. By using our service, you confirm that you possess the necessary capabilities and agree to keep your contact information updated.

While you may opt to stop receiving electronic communications from us and our providers, doing so could result in losing access to our services.

Electronic Delivery of Communications

By using our service, you consent to receive all communications, agreements, documents, notices, and disclosures ("Communications") in electronic form. This encompasses agreements and policies, including the BorrowEase Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, tax statements, and product-related disclosures. We will deliver these Communications by posting them on the BorrowEase website or by emailing them to the address associated with your profile.

Hardware and Software Requirements

To access and retain electronic Communications, you will need the following:

  • A computer or mobile device with internet access
  • A modern web browser with 128-bit encryption and cookies enabled (e.g., Internet Explorer 11 or newer, Safari 9.0.3 or newer, Firefox v. 56 or newer, Chrome v. 60 or newer)
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 11 or newer to view .pdf files
  • A valid email address
  • Sufficient storage space to save past Communications or a printer to print them

By using our service, you confirm that you have the necessary hardware and software to receive, open, and save or print Communications. You also affirm that the email address you provide is accurate and capable of receiving communications.

Additional Mobile Technology Requirements

If you access our service using a mobile device, ensure that it can print and save Communications. If it cannot, please use a device that is capable.

How to Withdraw Your Consent

You may withdraw your consent to receive electronic Communications by emailing us at manager@borroweasefin.org. If you choose to withdraw consent, we or our providers may limit, suspend, or deactivate your account, or impose fees for paper copies.

If you wish to request a paper copy of any previously provided Communication, you can do so within 180 days. Paper copies will be sent by mail, and you may incur a charge of up to $5 per Communication. Please ensure your mailing address is current in your profile.

Updating Your Contact Information

It is your responsibility to keep your email address updated to continue receiving Communications. If we send a Communication to an outdated email address, it will still be considered delivered. If you use a spam filter, please add BorrowEase to your contact list to prevent missing any messages.

You can update your email or physical address by logging into your BorrowEase account and selecting "Account Settings." If your email address becomes invalid, your account may be marked inactive until a valid address is provided.

Responsibility for Security of Your Email Account

You authorize BorrowEase to send sensitive information, documents, and records related to your use of our service to the email address you provide. You confirm that you own and control this email address and that only you or your authorized representatives can access it. You agree to safeguard sensitive information by employing appropriate security measures, such as a strong password and multifactor authentication.

If your email address changes, you must update your profile before the change takes effect. You agree to indemnify and hold us and our providers harmless from any claims, expenses, or damages resulting from the delivery of information to your email address, failure to update contact details, or any breach of applicable laws or regulations.
